Auto Responder You can setup an auto responder on our e-mail server using procmail.  To use procmail, you need to insert this line into the .qmail file for your account: | preline /usr/bin/procmail Then, you will need to edit the .procmailrc file for your account to configure procmail to act appropriately.  The following is a simple example that automatically sends a response, in the mesg file, to everyone who send you a message: DEFAULT=$HOME/Maildir/ :0 hc * ^Subject:.* * ! ^X-Loop: $LOGNAME@$HOSTNAME | formail -r | (cat; cat $HOME/mesg) | $SENDMAIL -t Note the definition of DEFAULT.  You can create a more sophisticated auto responder by changing the scripts in the .procmailrc file.  For more help on writing procmail scripts, please refer to the procmail web site.  To edit .qmail, .procmailrc and mesg files, please go here.
